It sounds like the perfect way to upgrade my transmission and a mod that will work with the BB tune later. It's cost is between $20-$80 depending on which kit you choose, and is a simple upgrade that can be done in the driveway in about an hour. I originally thought that the way to firm up the transmission was through a custom tune, which will be in my truck's future, but then I stumbled on the Corvette Servo. They jar the whole truck, even when accelerating lightly. The transmission on my 95 Chevy was rebuilt before I bought it and the shifts are hard and quick. This item works in all makes of this transmission. Is the Corvette Servo a gimmick bolt-on like the throttle body spacer and cold air intake, a legitimate performance mod like the Black Bear Performance tune, or an neutral item like a cat back exhaust system that sounds good and makes you feel better about your truck, but has negligible performance gains and no real negatives? This pin can be changed with the transmission in the vehicle. The 1-2 and 3-4 shifts will be quicker and the servo will not go beyond its travel inside the servo bore. With the pin clearance adjusted down to the correct amount, the servo will not have as far to travel before it applies the 2-4 band. We find in almost all cases, just changing out this pin, will get you within the right range. This long servo pin allows for the proper pin adjustment. At 1/4”, the servo is at its max travel distance and is dangerously close to allowing the 2-4 band to slip and burn. This is way too much and should be adjusted down, closer to 1/16". Most stock servo travel is around 1/8"-1/4". This pin will help to get your band adjusted to the right clearance. This pin is the longest pin from ACDelco and longer than your stock length.
